Mindfully You

Mindfully You

June 14-August 16

Mindfully You is a ten week, summer mindfulness club for teens ages 12-18. Each week, participants meet from 11-12:30 on Tuesdays and explore a variety of mindfulness topics and practices, including meditation, affirmations, self care, and specialty topics. Teens learn how to apply mindfulness in their daily lives to help relieve stress and promote mental and emotional health.

Teens are not required to be present at every club meeting - we get it, life is busy. We do ask that each teen who attends or plans to attend three or more times be willing to contribute a $20 club participation fee. This helps us with supply costs for some of our more hands on activities.

New participants can join at any time throughout the summer. While we will be building on some content, it’s easy enough to jump in at any point. Parents/guardians, we encourage you to use the "Plan A Visit" button to let us know in advance that your teen will be visiting. This way, we can ensure there are always enough supplies prepared.

Each week will involve a check in, gratitude, meditation, journaling/art prompt, and speciality topic. The specialty topics are listed below:

  • June 14th: A Vision for You - Vision Board Activity
  • June 21st: Mindful Eating - Using Food and Taste to Refocus
  • June 28th: Affirmation Station - Learning to Write Relevant Affirmations
  • July 5th: Creativity Sparks - Using Arts & Crafts to Quiet the Mind
  • July 12th: Movement Matters - Expressing Emotion through Movement
  • July 19th: The Natural World - Feeling Connected through Nature

  • August 2nd: Mindful at Home - Designing a Mini Mindfulness Space for Home
  • August 9th: Well-Being - Bringing Mental Health into the Conversation
