Sundays at 10 AM | 501 S. Mendenhall St. Greensboro, NC
Uniteens focuses on supporting pre-teens as they navigate middle school. The lessons are designed to be more introspective and practical, with deeper engagement in Unity’s spiritual teachings to help pre-teens develop self-awareness, personal responsibility, and emotional well-being. Uniteens explore leadership topics and service to others through engaging opportunities and activities.
Family events and overnight options are offered throughout the year.

Our Goals of 2024
Our youth programs are built around leadership and life skills. Uniteens introduces leadership skills through the opportunity to try out leading different pieces of Sunday's lessons. Uniteens also can propose ideas for outings, trips, and events!
In 2024, we separated our middle and high school groups into dedicated groups with dedicated spaces. The Uniteens group kicked off with the new school year in a space with chairs, cushions, fidgets, snacks, and craft supplies.
With a new Uniteens group, it's time for some Uniteens-only special events! We're working on planning a lock-in to take place during the school year. Make sure you're on our Remind, email list, and app to get notifications as soon as it's available.
FAQ
We are a "come as you are" community. Uniteens lessons are often engaged and active. Sometimes, we go outside. Clothes should be comfortable for activities, weather appropriate, and aligned with the intention of the program. Please refrain from wearing clothing:
During Youth Takeovers or if volunteering in the service, we encourage at least smart casual.
Each parent/guardian is asked to check in their Uniteen at the iPad near the Sanctuary. New visitors will be asked for a parent/guardian name and contact information as well. Parents/guardians are asked to stay aware of their phone should they need to be contacted during service for any reason. After service, the adult who checked in their Uniteen in must pick up their student in the classroom, unless they have a registration form on file that indicates that the student is allowed to check themself in and out or can be checked in and out by an older sibling.
All of our volunteers and staff complete an annual background check. Many work in local schools and colleges as well. We have a 1:7 adult to youth ratio and no fewer than two adults in our interconnected youth suite during program times.
First aid kits are available in the youth classrooms. We do not administer medication except in life-saving cases where the medication is provided by the parent/guardian (Epi-Pen/Inhaler).
We will do our best to accommodate needs and allergies. Please provide at least a week's notice (or more for more involved accommodations) so we have time to make arrangements and communicate with our team.
Some things to know ahead of time:
The best way to let us know about your Uniteen's needs is to pre-register them and include their needs in the medical information section. If you have additional questions, please feel free to reach out to us.
Thanks for being willing to support our elementary age group. Check out the following ways to support our kids:
