YAM (Young Adult Ministry) is a space for people to come and hang out and talk about life.
Young adulthood is a transitional time spanning a long range of experiences. Sometimes it can be hard to find a place that feels like a good fit in the moment and also meets scheduling and cost needs. While young adults are always welcome at every Unity in Greensboro event, class, or service, we also offer spaces and programs that are intentionally created to meet the needs of specific age and life experience groups. Our young adult and alumni programs welcome people at any place in their spiritual journey.

YAM Meetings
YAM meetings are a welcoming space to talk about life, spirituality, and young adulthood. YAM is fully young adult led. Meetings take place on second Sundays at Unity in Greensboro and online via Zoom. These hybrid meetings are led by Unity in Greensboro young adults, but joined by young adults across the Southeast.
If you choose to attend in-person, you'll travel to 501 S. Mendenhall St. and follow signs to Unity in Greensboro on the second floor. Use the kiosk to let us know you're here for YAM and ask an usher to point you to the meeting space. Don't want to talk to an usher? Then join the service and follow the youth and young adults out when they're called for blessing about five minutes into service. Someone will be there to guide young adults to the YAM space. If you let us know you're coming via the Plan Your Visit button, we'll even text you ahead of time and make sure someone can meet you in the parking lot.

Global Outreach
LoveLight
LoveLight partners with communities to break the cycle of poverty through youth leadership and education.
Founded in 2002, LoveLight assisted its partner community, Riviersonderend (RSE), South Africa, in building a children’s sanctuary. This place provides community youth with hot meals, additional childcare for younger siblings, and a safe place to simply be kids. The “grandmothers” of the community assist with schoolwork, teaching life skills, and emotional support.
Currently, LoveLight is looking for young adult ambassadors to travel with them to South Africa in January 2025. The cost is ~$2500. Email Rev. Miranda Koberg or visit the website if interested.
